Hotpod Yoga Retreat | 16 – 20 October

We’ll be setting up in sunny Barcelona for 3 days of sunshine, beaches, deliciously healthy food, and of course plenty of yoga (we will bring the pod!). We can’t think of a dreamier way to end the summer, whether you’re already a Hotpod lover, new to the pod, or simply seeking some serious R&R.

We’ll be offering two classes per day, but all classes are optional and open to all levels. We encourage you to do as little or as much yoga as you want, to ensure that you have the most relaxing and rejuvenating retreat experience possible.

What’s a typical morning?

8.00-9.00am | Morning Hotpod Flow yoga class

9.30-10.30am | Breakfast

10.30-1.00pm | Free time (massages, sunbathing, exploring, relaxing)

What’s a typical afternoon?

1.00pm | Lunch

2.00pm-6.00pm | Free time (napping, swimming, walking)

6.00pm-7.00pm | Nurturing Flow yoga class

7.30pm | Dinner

Where will I be staying?

We are lucky enough to be staying in the beautiful Villa Marcer, a 17th century country house that sits in the beautiful setting of Sitges, just south of Barcelona.

The villa has large rooms, many with their original wooden beams and floor tiles. Outside is a large terrace that runs the length of the villa, there is also a lawned Pavillion garden which has beautiful views for outside dining and there is a private swimming heated swimming pool. Inside there are two large living rooms with TV, DVDs, games and books, as well as that there is a games room with table tennis and a pool table.

What will I be eating?

Breakfast

Smoothie bowls sprinkled with granola and seasonal fruits

Corn fritters with semi-dried tomatoes, baby spinach and Avocado salsa

Lunch

Mediterranean summers salad buffet:

Quinoa, lentil salad with mint, asparagus and optional halloumi

Crunchy fattoush salad with tomatoes, cucumber, radish, pita chips and a creamy sumac dressing

Chargrilled cauliflower salad with lemon & tahini

Dinner

Spicy red lentil and chickpea dal

Indian potatoes with turmeric and mustard seeds

Saag: Indian spinach

Coconut rice

Vegan Malai Burfi: cardamom Indian fudge bars

Who’s coming?

Charlie Morgan | Yoga Instructor

Charlie’s been practicing yoga for 15 years and has been teaching for 8 years, 6 of those for Hotpod Yoga, during that time Charlie has taught and led retreats all over the world.

Charlie teaches with an emphasis on correct body alignment whilst maintaining a strong dynamic and creative flow.

Angie Theodorou | Yoga Instructor

Angie has been practicing yoga since she was 16 years old, 4.5 of those for Hotpod Yoga, you can currently find her teaching in both our Belgravia and Notting Hill studios. Angie’s classes focus on physical awareness and developing the ability of listening to one’s own body with the purpose to reconnect body to mind.

Nick Pahl | Chef

Prior to working for Hotpod Yoga, Nick spent nearly the last 10 years in and around the events and hospitality industry as a restaurant consultant, chef, event caterer and overly enthusiastic supper clubber.
