Hi, I’m Alison. A yogi, a mum of two and a lover of all outdoor spaces. I fell in love with yoga a few years ago as a way of treating and preventing running injuries. It worked! I enjoy trail running with friends, dog walking and open water swimming. I look forward to sharing this joy with you in every class.
My love for yoga first started at the age of 19 when I’d attend hatha style classes at my local gym. Despite loving the practice I honestly struggled to go within, to find stillness, follow my breathing & not compare myself to others in the class. I had an on off relationship with yoga up until 2018 when I first tried HotPod. This is when my practice changed, the heat & lighting helped me to focus on myself & my practice, the ease of booking through an app made it more accessible to get to a class than ever. I’m passionate about us all being able to lead a healthy & joyful life with ease and I know that yoga has a lot to offer in all areas of wellbeing. This is what led me to accomplish my teacher training in Cyprus (my second home) in 2021 so that I can share my passion with you in the pod!
I have been working as a Primary School teacher and nursery teacher for the past 10+ years but have always had my yoga practice to keep me going during the most stressful times. The feeling of arriving into the yoga class after a busy day (or even before the day gets started) to the warm welcome and smile from the teacher and fellow yogis all ready to move our bodies, to the feeling of leaving the class feeling nourished and refreshed is indescribable. That is the feeling that I want to bring to you.

I’ve dabbled in yoga for most of my life, but it was on discovering Hotpod four years ago that I really fell in love. Since then I’ve continued to broaden my yoga horizons – learning about many different styles and philosophies and combining my love of yoga with my love of travel. I still find nothing compares to the pod though – the warmth, the music, the teachers & the flow create the perfect atmosphere to create both a challenging workout for the body & an incredible sense of peace for the mind.
Sophie had been attending Hotpod classes in Derby for a few years before embarking on a 200hour YTT to deepen her knowledge. Having experienced first hand the mental and physical benefits of setting time aside to practice yoga around work, Sophie now loves being able to share this with others to allow them to achieve a sense of balance.
Eszter has been a yoga student since 2013 and her love for yoga and thirst for more knowledge took her to India to complete a 200 hour teacher training in 2016. In 2017 she qualified as a pregnancy and postnatal yoga teacher. Nowadays she’s proud mum of a happy and very active little boy. She enjoys teaching both gentle and dynamic classes combining the elements of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha styles.
Having worked in pharmaceutical sales It was during a year out in Australia that I was first introduced to yoga. Having always felt fitness was all about high impact, I began to love the feeling yoga gave me. My body began to feel the benefits of the stretches and my mind the benefits of connecting with the breath. After returning to the UK I continued my yoga journey with relaxing Hatha classes. A friend then introduced me to Hotpod and I was hooked. The heat helped my body release deeper into postures and the Vinyasa style energised me.
With a background in dance and fitness and a keen interest in mindfulness Steph fell in love with yoga as it fuses the two together perfectly – After deciding to leave her job in estate agency to undertake her teacher training in 2017 Steph has never looked back, returning to the pod after having her little girl Steph is passionate in helping others to achieve a sense of wellbeing and balance.
Tom completed his 200 hour YTC in Rishikesh, India. Having long been into all kinds of health and fitness and alternative methods for well-being , Yoga has been a key part in helping get all the juice out of life that I can. I love the blissful, relaxed feeling it gives me but not before I have put in an invigorating, blood pumping session!
Chantelle first tried yoga during some time spent in India. She loves a dynamic flowing yoga class and will bring this and some added flair to your classes in the pod.
