Benji’s style of teaching is focused on strength, alignment and linking breath with movement. In his classes you will find different movement paces and a good range of modifications to help you find your own natural rhythm and the right amount of challenge for you.
Amber
Amber has a deep love for all styles of yoga but found her true passion with vinyasa. She emphasises the power of community and how yoga not only challenges the body, but the mind too. She completed her YTT in Tenerife where she was also deeply connected to the sounds rooted in yogic traditions, gaining her nada yoga certification.
Jana
At 22, I left Belgium to travel across Asia, exploring big existential questions. I dedicated a year in India and Nepal to studying Buddhist and Hindu philosophy through various meditation retreats and courses, immersing myself in diverse spiritual traditions and cultures. After returning to Europe, I continued my journey through regular silent retreats at centers like Samye Ling, Nalanda Monastery, and Sivananda Ashram.
I have integrated yogic principles into modern Western life, blending meditation, philosophy, and asana practice. Now based in Scotland, I teach a variety of classes with a joyful and passionate approach.
Lena
Lena started practicing yoga at the age of 16 as an addition to fitness oriented classes and got carried away by the unique and impressive benefits of this ancient practice.
On her yoga journey she discovered the different styles of yoga like Ashtanga, Yin, Flow and Power Yoga. Travelled to India on numerous occasions to learn from the traditional teachers and yoga schools in Delhi, Rishikesh and Mysore, India. This provided a deep knowledge of philosophy and traditions of Hatha Yoga. And in the same time dedicated lots of time and thought to combining the traditional approach with modern western approach of deep exploration of yoga anatomy and posture alignment.
You will find her classes beneficial for both beginner and intermediate students offering an individual approach to every student and providing hands on adjustments in postures.
Jo
Jo has a wealth of experience and has been practising yoga for over 35 years after starting out with Iyengar yoga as a child.

Jo’s nature is very joyful and friendly with community being at the heart of her classes. Her classes in the pod are suitable for all abilities from beginners and up so there is something for everyone.

Always teaching from a place of personal understanding, my teaching style is light and playful. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking for more – I teach to possibility. I will always offer a variety of options to grow and expand your practice. Maryla
Maryla came to yoga many years ago because she wanted a hot shower (long story!) but had to do the studio class first. Luckily, that first class happened to be a Hotpod class and she has been hooked on the challenge, flexibility and nurturing atmosphere of Hotpod yoga ever since. Inspired by the teachers that she met there, Maryla undertook her YTT on the Island of Women whilst working in Central America.
Known for strong, inclusive and uplifting classes, she proves that yoga can be fun and creative, as well as powerful and profoundly moving. Drawing on her background in mindfulness and wordsmithing, she enjoys sharing her unique blend of yoga and meeting people wherever they are at on their yoga journeys – especially those who came to it by accident…
the founders
Nick Higgins and Max Henderson
A former Schoolteacher and Management Consultant, founded Hotpod Yoga in 2013. They were not part of the 1% who regularly practiced yoga; they were of the other 99% who simply needed to clear their over-stimulated minds, work off their hangovers and open up their bodies after a hard day at work. Max and Nick started Hotpod Yoga to supercharge the yoga experience and take that experience out to the masses.
