Ana was born and raised in Swansea and started her career as a dancer. She then entered the world of wellbeing as a fitness instructor. It was at this point that she came to yoga being asked to undertake a teacher training by a former employer. Immediately she fell in love with the practice and has gone on to train and teach around the world.
Gemma came to Yoga in 2013 after having become a regular student of Hotpod Swansea. She has always had a love of fitness - working as an Aerobics, Pilates and Spin Instructor to help her through her studies to become a nurse. Falling in love with the strength, flexibility and inner peace that yoga gave her she was determined to share her new found love and completed her 200hr yoga Teacher Training in 2014.
Gemma works as a full time nurse as well as teaching Yoga and has spent time in the RAF..all this lends to her caring nature which is displayed in her classes, encouraging her students to achieve their best in a fun and safe way.
Jeni is a bodywork therapist, with several years experience working in this field.
A self confessed yoga fanatic, Jeni is passionate about teaching the fundamentals and keen to make her classes as accessible to all Jeni breaks down movements and introduces the key principles in her classes while providing a sustainable physical challenge. Her classes are perfect for those new to yoga, returning after a break and also for more experienced students who want to get back to basics.
Christopher Wyn Jenkins
Chris started his yoga journey at Hotpod yoga Swansea in 2014 whilst training as a Dancer at The Rambert school of Ballet and Contemporary dance in London. He was quickly mesmerised by the positive impacts the practice had on his dance training physically in terms of strength, flexibility and balance as well as mentally by calming the mind. He qualified as a Yoga instructor with Its yoga International later in 2014.
Alex came to yoga after a life-long interest in Eastern philosophy and meditation. It soon became clear that yoga was an effective way to enrich the process of self-discovery and cultivate a union between mind and body.
Feeling inspired, he attained his 200-hr Teaching Certificate at the Zenways School, with a view of bringing the life-enhancing potential of yoga to others. Alex's classes are energetic, uplifting and fun, whilst also focusing on increasing awareness of the body, breath and movement.
Adam’s journey into the world of Yoga began from an unlikely place, starting in 2001.
During an elite basketball academy training program, Adam was introduced to Yoga by coach Todd Stone in an attempt to improve the team’s flexibility. Adam’s basketball playing career ended due to injury and he began to indulge in the traveling lifestyle.
In 2005, Adam traveled around the world for one year. Inspired by his basketball coach, he started to practice Ashtanga Vinyasa. He continued to search for the best teachers he could find on his adventure, which would change his life forever.
On the same trip, he also discovered the art of fire dancing in Koh Phangan, Thailand. Flow arts and Yoga became Adam’s passions in life. He has been dedicated to his practice ever since.
Whilst in Byron Bay Australia in 2006, Adam attended a Deep Tissue Massage course where he deepened his understanding of the human body and gained insightful ways to heal people.
Adam then spent seven summers in Ibiza, Spain performing fire dancing shows at the world’s most prestigious venues and events. There, he co-created Energy Entertainments in 2008, a successful fire entertainments company. Adam has performed at some of the biggest festivals in Europe, led workshops and trained with professional circuses, choreographing & performing spectacular routines at high profile events around the globe.
Although Adam has had an intense performance career, he has practiced Yoga as part of his daily ritual. He has been blessed to train with some of the best teachers in India, Europe and LA.
In 2011, Adam began teaching his first Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga classes in Ibiza and has been dedicated to sharing the practice ever since.
Adam’s philosophy is: “Fundamentally, we are all students of life searching for connections with others and a sense of inner peace and happiness. Through Yoga, I help people explore themselves and transcend beyond their physical and mental limitations.”
Vanya first came to yoga to help build strength and confidence after sustaining a hip injury. She believes that the positive mental and physical results she experienced from regular practice are testament to the healing potential of yoga.
After completing numerous workshops and travelling to India to partake in an Ashtanga retreat, she made the decision to embark on a 200 hour Vinyasa teacher training course with Santosha yoga in Bali.
Vanya strives to teach an authentic, non-judgemental and expressive style of yoga.
After attending a weekend of Forrest Yoga workshops I turned to a deep yoga practice in order to heal myself from grief and a traumatic birth .. My life was transformed. I completed a 200 hr Kundalini TT. I now teach a variety of yoga styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Child and Teen Yoga and meditation. My practice is heavily influenced by Forrest Yoga and I hope to complete Advanced Teacher Training this summer.
Emma began her Yoga journey in 2001 after graduating from University. Working in the voluntary sector for many years, Emma began to really appreciate the space she was able to create physically and mentally through her yoga practice. Passionate about her client's welfare Emma decided to take her Teacher Training in the hope she could bring yoga to her day job, supporting individuals further through the means of Yoga.
Emma is welcoming and approachable, her classes are strong yet uplifting with a huge focus on feeling the body from the inside out.
