Timetable at Hotpod Yoga Derby

Chantelle first tried yoga during some time spent in India. She loves a dynamic flowing yoga class and will bring this and some added flair to your classes in the pod.

Gilly's life was transformed after meeting an inspirational yoga instructor whilst she working in New Zealand as a PE teacher and Personal Trainer. One class a week suddenly turned into four and the affect it had on her body was incredible! It influenced her whole outlook on life and highlighted the importance of not only having physical strength but also the need to incorporate flexibility and suppleness for all round health and mental wellbeing. After moving to Indonesia for work, Gilly was further motivated to complete her 200 hr YTT in Bali so she could inspire other people in the same way as she was.

Eszter has been a yoga student since 2013 and her love for yoga and thirst for more knowledge took her to India to complete a 200 hour teacher training in 2016. In 2017 she qualified as a pregnancy and postnatal yoga teacher. Nowadays she’s proud mum of a happy and very active little boy. She enjoys teaching both gentle and dynamic classes combining the elements of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha styles.

I've dabbled in yoga for most of my life, but it was on discovering Hotpod four years ago that I really fell in love. Since then I've continued to broaden my yoga horizons - learning about many different styles and philosophies and combining my love of yoga with my love of travel. I still find nothing compares to the pod though - the warmth, the music, the teachers & the flow create the perfect atmosphere to create both a challenging workout for the body & an incredible sense of peace for the mind.

I have enjoyed some form of yoga on and off for most of my adult life, but this has become more consistent in recent years. Yoga leaves me feeling good in so many ways. I love how it leaves me feeling me strong and flexible physically, while calming the mind and helping keep me emotionally balanced. I also absolutely love the pod! I’ve been a Hotpod customer for several years and I love the heat, the teachers, the music, the ambiance, the people... I am so happy to be part of the team and can’t wait to see you in the pod!

After many years in the corporate world, Lou found her calling and retrained to be a yoga teacher. She did her 200hr yoga teacher training with Hotpod Yoga in London in 2018. Since then she’s been teaching at various Hotpod studios in the Midlands, and absolutely loves teaching in the pod and helping people nurture their bodies and minds.
When she’s not working, most of her time is taken up with looking after her extremely bouncy miniature poodle. She also loves horses, sewing, making, baking (well ok eating the cake!) and reading vintage murder mysteries.

I have a huge passion for yoga and I really believe everyone should get to experience the powerful tools that yoga has to offer and I can’t wait to share these with you in my class. The focus will be moving the full body to ignite our energy within us and challenge ourselves with patience, linking in with our breath deeply and allowing the connection between the mind and body to flow together has such a rewarding practice where your body feels energised and the mind has been cleansed, welcoming a new person after leaving the class.

Becky has been practising yoga for over 20 years. Her passion to learn more led her to complete a Foundation course in 2018, shortly followed by her 500hr Teacher Training Diploma. Becky doesn't only have a thirst to learn but she loves to share her passion for yoga with everyone! Becky strives to make sure her yoga sessions are inclusive and accessible for all and feels the immersive environment of the pod is the perfect setting. As a Qualified Nutritionist and Health Promotion Specialist Becky takes a holistic approach to nurturing the body and mind through nourishment, movement and connection.

Sharan found her first Yoga class 9 years ago at a local gym in London. Like most newbies, she found her first class to be a little challenging but the physical and subtle benefit proved to be so incredible and life changing that she became a regular practitioner soon after.

She certified as a Multi-Style Yoga Teacher in Dharamsala, India, so that she could expand her own practice and share this wisdom with the world. Today, Sharan see’s yoga as a therapy and lifestyle as she continues to grow as a practitioner and teacher.

After attending classes at the pod for over a year, Sharan's pleased and excited to be a part of the Hotpod family and look forward to sharing Yoga with this beautiful community.

Graham discovered the benefits of yoga later in life and as an antidote to the physical and mental stresses of working in high pressure leadership roles. Having spent many years working to build wellbeing into organisations he qualified as a yoga teacher in July 2023 and now enjoys helping people enjoy a healthier and happier lifestyle. Graham has always enjoyed a good walk and recently backpacked the Camino de Santiago walking 600 miles across Northern Spain, crediting yoga with reducing aches and pains and avoiding injury. Graham is passionate about bringing the benefits of yoga to as many people as possible and loves introducing yoga to beginners and those who are unsure.

As a mental health therapist I have long understood the links between the mind and the body, ultimately the need to protect and nurture our wellbeing. It wasn't until I found the physical practise of yoga through the "asanas" (the postures) that I personally realised how beneficial regular yoga practise could be. Having on and off dabbled with yoga over the years but never really 'committing' to it I stumbled across Hotpod when it started in Derby and was hooked so much so I decided to train with them at HQ in London! I hope to share that feeling in the comfortable and inclusive space at HP no matter what age, size gender, ability or body walks through the door allowing yourself the time to focus on the mat is such a valuable experience and what its all about.

I first came to yoga about 5 years ago when I was searching for some headspace from my busy day to day job and general life. I instantly fell in love with the practice- the way it made me feel, just me and my mat, the connection to my body, mind and nothing else mattering for that hour. Fittingly my first ever class was at HPY Derby and I’ve been a regular ever since.

Outside of the pod my main passions are my job in civil aviation safety inspection, being out walking in the mountains, spending time with my lovely boxer dog Bertie, riding my two horses, playing padel, along with much much more!

I’ve been practicing yoga for over twenty five years, dipping in and out of various different styles until around 15 years ago, that’s when I found Prana Flow. I knew immediately it was my dharma to train in this energetic (subtle body energy) approach to yoga, to share this amazingly transformative experience with others!
In 2015 I began my training and I'm still going, always a student!
Firstly a 300hr Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga; this gave me a solid foundation in Hatha, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology.
Next came Vinyasa training where my love for the poetic dance of rhythm, breath and movement was allowed to flow.
2016 I began the pièce de résistance, 500hr Prana Flow training with Shiva Rea - Prana Flow or Prana Vinyasa embodies the teachings of Krishnamacharya, Ayurveda, Shakta Tantra and Bhakti Yoga - I completed in 2021.

I started practicing yoga in 2012 at home, then as my practice deepened I competed my 200hr YTT with Yoga London in 2017. Yoga has proven to be an essential tool for me to get closer to myself and continues to enhance my mindfulness journey. Teaching yoga has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life and I'm happy I get to share this experience with others in the pod.

My name is Homby. I’ve been practicing and teaching yoga since late 2021. However I have been teaching strength and fitness classes since 2007. As well as teaching, my full time job is Fitness Officer for the Fire Service, keeping fire fighters fit.
I am passionate in movement disciplines, and my favourite practice at the moment is Yoga Vinyasa & AnimalFlow.
My hobbies are running, chilling out with a movie, riding motorbikes, art, going hiking and spending fun time with my daughter. I also LOVE trying new foods.
I’m convinced my purpose in life is to spread positive energy and inspire people.
I love to teach a strong Vinyasa flow in the heat and have a passion to explore free movement. I am fully qualified in fitness and functional movements such as Animal Flow, Aerial Yoga, body weight exercises and calisthenics as well as my 200hr yoga Teacher training.
I currently teach locally at various studios around Derby/Nottingham.
Yoga has helped me through some challenging events in life and I hope it can also help you 🤲🏽

I have been practicing yoga for many years, always feeling a quiet but powerful connection to its spiritual essence—even before I fully recognised it within myself. About 7–8 years ago, my journey deepened when I discovered HPY Derby. In the pod, I experienced the joy of complete surrender—allowing myself to be fully absorbed by the ambient space, the mat, and the present moment.

That experience ignited a lasting passion. It inspired me to complete my teacher training, with the intention of holding space for others to find the same sanctuary I had discovered. Teaching yoga allows me to share not just movement and breath, but also the gratitude and transformation yoga has brought into my life.

For me, yoga is more than a practice—it is a way of being, a space of healing and connection. By paying this forward, I hope to help others step into their own journey with openness, curiosity, and peace.

I’ve been teaching yoga since 2023, both at my home studio in Northampton and at the Hotpod studios in Northampton and Coventry. I absolutely love teaching in the heat, having trained initially in Absolute Hot Yoga. Over time, my understanding of yoga’s philosophy, history, and various styles has deepened—especially after spending Easter in India this year and visiting Thailand the year before. Currently, I’m working toward my 300-hour advanced teacher training.

I’m particularly drawn to Yoga Nidra for its calming effects and its incredible ability to refresh and heal the body. I also enjoy the dynamic flow of Vinyasa, especially the connection of breath to movement.

Having recently relocated to Derbyshire, I’m excited to explore the hills on long walks with my dog, Winnie, finding new wild swimming spots, and indulge in the occasional SUP yoga session when the sun is out!’

After researching the many physical and mental benefits of yoga, I decided to give it a try over 8 years ago. Since then, I have continued to practice it regularly. I have lived in quite a few different places and going to local yoga classes has always helped me find some grounding wherever I am. Two years ago I decided I wanted to get my yoga teaching qualification, this made me love yoga even more. I love being able to teach yoga and share the many benefits of it with others.
